I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. From the time I was 10 years old, I’ve been in the business of growing, acquiring, and helping others succeed in business. My journey started with a simple paper route. At just 10, I made my first acquisition—expanding my single route into four. It was the beginning of a lifelong passion for entrepreneurship, and little did I know that the lessons I learned back then would shape my career for decades to come.

A Career in Banking and SBA Lending

After my early entrepreneurial experiences, I transitioned into banking, where I spent the next 30 years building expertise in small business lending. I found my niche in SBA lending, and over time, I became deeply immersed in helping small business owners navigate the often complex world of financing. The SBA loan programs were a game changer for so many entrepreneurs, and I took great pride in being able to provide them with the resources and guidance they needed to grow their businesses.

Transitioning into Mergers & Acquisitions

As my career progressed, I realized I wanted to do more to help entrepreneurs—not just while they were building their businesses, but as they planned their exits. This led me to become a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), a role that will allow me to combine my expertise in small business growth with my passion for helping owners transition their businesses when the time is right.

As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor, I work closely with business owners to develop strategic plans for selling or transitioning their companies. The goal is to help them “harvest the profits after a lifetime of planting”—maximizing the value of their businesses when they decide to move on. It’s a deeply fulfilling part of my work, as I’m able to guide entrepreneurs through one of the most important transitions of their lives. Whether it’s preparing the business for sale, identifying the right buyers, or handling the complexities of the deal, I’m there to offer advice and support every step of the way.

Why I Do What I Do

My passion for small businesses runs deep. I believe that small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and I’ve dedicated my career to helping them succeed. I’m driven by the idea that every business has the potential to make a real impact—not just in terms of profits, but also in creating jobs, supporting families, and enriching communities. Whether I’m helping a new business secure funding or helping an owner plan for an exit, my mission has always been to empower entrepreneurs to reach their fullest potential.
